Termites will not bite humans. Fortunately, we are not on the menu. Soldier termites do have mandibles that can pinch a human and are very strong. The soldiers’ responsibility to the termite colony is protection, and they won’t hesitate to use their mandibles. Interestingly, the soldier termites really depend on the workers to feed them. This is another example of the complex and structured nature of the termite colony.
