Roaches are capable of crawling anywhere they want. However, it would be very uncommon for a cockroach to decide to purposely come near you. They are more active at night and we are less active at night. The possibility of close encounters is greater; however, roaches will generally stick closer to their food sources in kitchens and bathrooms.
